Mermaid's Tears

A mermaid’s tears turn into pearls. Interestingly, in Eastern legends, there is also a tale of “jiao ren” (merfolk) weeping pearls under the moonlight. Similar to mermaids, jiao ren are half-human, half-fish beings said to shed tears under the moon on bright nights, their tears transforming into pearls. Whether in Eastern or Western folklore, the idea of tears becoming pearls symbolizes turning pain into something precious.
Materials:
Freshwater baroque pearls, freshwater pearls, Qinan agarwood beads, clear crystal.
Story:
This anklet is designed with baroque pearls to mimic the shape of falling tears. Agarwood, a precious wood known for its subtle and enchanting fragrance, emits a natural scent that is beneficial to the human body. Sourced from Hainan, China, Qinan agarwood is among the most luxurious varieties of agarwood. Not only does this anklet adorn the ankle, but it also releases a delicate and sensual fragrance with every movement.
The auxiliary chain features clear crystal, symbolizing droplets of water before they transform into pearls. The elongated pearl represents the dagger hidden by the mermaid. The clasp of the anklet is a Qinan agarwood bead adorned with gold-leaf scripture—specifically, the Buddhist “Five Lines Sutra,” which symbolizes peace, smoothness, relationships, wealth, and health.
